Ravel is the eldest (and preferred) son of House Xorlarrin. His younger brother Nezznar Xorlarrin told the party that he was seeking the lost dwarven city of Gauntlgrym, but Nezznar believed that Gauntlegrym was a fable and his brother was a fool. Nezznar also disclosed that Ravel was involved wtih the Thay in Neverwinter Wood, leading the party to believe he is directly involved with the Dread Ring there.
