Matthew Higgins stands before his philosophy class asking his class about God and the Devil. Fitzgerald Winters reflects on the fact that he would be going on a date with a barista that he had admired named Louis. Sebastian Callihan reminded Fitz that he had a study hall date but didn't seem upset when Fitz rescheduled. Sebastian asked Fitz who he was dating and Fitz lied and said he was seeing someone named "Laura".
The two leave the classroom and walk across a set of artsy arches made of mirrors. Fitzgerald noticed his reflection shift to a younger face and changed back. Confused he looked on closer but saw nothing amiss.
Amy Dandrige is working with Vanessa Williams to help set up boxes to give to the poor and needy with a group named Shelter. Amy double checks with Vanessa to ensure she is aware of Vanessa's night off to go to a concert. Vanessa and Amy come to a room where VW Vance is staying temporarily. Amy explains that VW and her baby came from America and that Vanessa and VW could be friends. Amy suggests they go to a concert together. VW is skeptical that Amy could take care of Audi Jaeger but she will hand them over and agree to help. They head to Whitechapel to help out.
Vanessa explains the purpose of their volunteer work, leading the way while VW stays close behind.
While on the beat in Whitechapel, Vanessa notices a fight happening in the alleyway: An old woman was trying to protect herself and screaming from a younger man. Vanessa yells at him but he doesn't seem to register what is being said at him. VW makes a concerted effort to walk down the alleyway alongside Vanessa to confront him in the alleyway.
The man in the alleyway and wrenches back a little boy in his arms. He yells at the girls but is distracted enough to lose the boy and the old woman. He angrily yells and says he was going to get a pretty penny for the boy and pulls out a knife.
He stops. He sees something in the shadows of the alleyway-sweat dripping off his brow and runs off suddenly. VW and Vanessa look into the shadows to see what spooked the man, the last thing they see is a whisp of red hair disappearing into a nearby abandoned building.
Jacksin Preen and Unknown are waking up that afternoon on their tour bus. It is clear they are waking up from a significant party in various states of hangover and sexual bliss. Their manager, Gilligan Weslowski, offers them all sorts of hangover cures (like alcohol and cloves) to have a discussion with the band.
Gil booked the Marquee Club for the band. Daryan Crescend looks irritated as Gil mentions that they are opening for another band. Jacksin Preen is especially irritated and asks who they're opening for.
The band they're opening for is Lips, Legs, and Lust...a rival band from Brighton. Gil calls out for Mirage Perryand the groupies to go off and advertise the band to help sell out the venue. She reminded Jass to get properly dressed and buffs off Jacksin's compliments. Gil tells Jacksin to go speak with the venue manager, Hana, and use his charm to get paid.
Fitz stands in his loft, worried about his date and how he would look. He meets up with Louis who calls him when he has arrived. Louis is charming and flirts with Fitz to try and get him to loosen up. Fitz is convinced to dance with him until they get a cab. Louis speaks about Lips, Legs, and Lust and how they are an incredible band. He encourages him to listen and while Fitz is lost in the music, he sees himself in the mirror.
And then he sees a younger self in the mirror who speaks out, "Miss me?".Fitz lowers the window spooked by the sight.
Vanessa and VW are preparing to go to the rock concert. Vanessa offers VW some fun clothes for VW to wear. Vanessa dressed quite modestly and VW offers assistance in getting more rock concert appropriate clothing. They go to the Marquee club together and Vanessa shows apprehension of the venue space.
Weed, close together bodies? Terrifying.
The girls examine the concert poster and VW is shocked to see a familiar face in one of the bands. She anxiously tells Vanessa they don't have to stay the whole time. Vanessa is unsure but agrees they can for a bit.
At the front of the line, Mirage and Jasson alongside the rest of the groupies are trying to give more tickets to the crowds. Mirage tells Jasson to be more forward and pushes him along to be his charming self (?). He motions for VW and Vanessa to come over to speak with them. He offers them some backstage passes and VW asks in exchange for what.
Mirage comes to rescue to ask the girls to help entertain the crowds. VW and Vanessa are definitely nervous and unsure. VW offers to sing a song from Lips, Legs, and Lust (a song from her past). Mirage gives the girls backstage passes as a reward and leads the girls into the venue before the rest of the crowd.
Jass tells the group about the band and who they are and where they come from. He passes by a stagehand who looks to have fangs. Jass tries to see if Mirage saw the same thing but she doesn't seem concerned.
In front of them is Louis and Fitz, invited backstage by the owner of the venue. They head to the green room but before that, Louis tells Fitz he needs to catch up with the owner of the venue.
At the same time, Jacksin, dressed to the nines is ready to impress the venue manager in the green room. Hana welcomes Jacksin to the bar and wishes to speak to him. Jacksin watches as Hana slides behind the bar to give him a drink.
She asks "If you're planning on rocking the underworld of music, what makes you so special?"
Jacksin makes claims that he is the best to bring beauty to the stage and the Vanity is all part of the cause to do so. Hana is intrigued while offering Jacksin a red-tinged drink.
"What is it that you truly want in life?"
Jacksin says he wants to be remembered for the things he makes and blow up. He wants the world to know his name. Hana seems even more interested and Jacksin goes in to kiss her--only to be denied by a finger to his lips. "Not now. After the show."
Jacksin smiles and takes a drink. It is the sweetest thing he had ever drank before and the greenroom door opens.
The group disperses into the green room with wandering into the different spaces and its awkward as hell. Jacksin courts VW to walk and drink with him. Fitz moves to the bar to examine the alcohol selection and Jass provides him with a drink. Vanessa talks to Mirage about US history and politics.
A bigger group arrives at the green room including Louis and Lips, Legs, and Lust. Tristan Adagian is part of that band and prods Jass to make him a drink in an obnoxious way. Gavin Jaeger is also there to make an appearance. VW suddenly is in a panic when she realizes Gavin Jaeger is there. She straightens up and speaks up, asking if it actually is Gavin. Gavin gasps in seeing VW and reminisces with her about their last night together. Gavin asks if VW wants to talk after the show rather than going to the afterparty.
Jacksin abandons ship with VW and goes to peacock in front of Tristan while hanging off off Jass. Daryan has to break up the fight.
Vanessa speaks with VW about what happened and voices her concern if Jacksin or Gavin were bothering her. VW reassures Vanessa she was okay.
The group disperses to the VIP sections and the stage to watch the performances. Plastic Vanity plays well and everyone enjoys it.
But then the lights turn off suddenly.
Then explosions.
It shakes the foundation and the floor drops from under the people in the concert floor.
Jacksin and Jass see black figures drift in the mess. Jacksin sees a snake behind him, white and frightening. It snaps at Jacksin and he loses his footing to fall back into the pit. Jass sees snake turn to him and he runs making it out of the door and towards the tour bus. He is clocked in the back of the head and falls unconscious.
Time passes in the darkness.
Fitz lays broken and bleeding, a hand on his neck. Louis waxes his worries into the air. Hanna stands before Jacksin, her hair in a veil saying it happened too soon. Coming from the hole a woman in red says that they will be blamed for what the Sabbat has done. The red haired woman walks to Vanessa and demands she tells her she wants to live.
Vanessa agrees. She is bitten.
Hana speaks to Jacksin, telling him he cannot be the loudest voice heard. He says he wants to live and she bites him.
Louis asks for Fitz to walk the world of madness with him, and Fitz agrees. He bites him.
Another man drops from the hole from above, white hair, and speaks that they must move. He says that the Camarilla will deny them their bonds. VW speaks out to him desperate to know if Vanessa is okay. The man asks if VW wishes to be helped/live and the man walks to her and asks her: "Why do you want to continue suffering?"
VW says "My baby. My baby needs me."
He feeds from her while sharing his blood and the blood of two others.
Jass is left in the alleyway and awakens. He sees a set of boots before him and it pulled up by a familiar/unfamiliar face. It looks like someone who is related to Fitzgerald. He is bitten.
Jass barely makes it to the tour bus. Exhausted and dying. He sees a vision of wings undulating and closing.
The darkness comes around him and closes in on Jass.
