Flynt

Ranger

Backstory

Flynt is a young Goblin that has been surviving in the town of Brightwater ever since his tribe, the Nightskulkers, had abandoned him for failing initiation. Flynt is not well liked in the town, however, as he has had to steal goods from others to survive. Once he takes the goods, he retreats back into the sewers and hides until the heat dies down. He also uses his skills with his bow and sickles that he picked up from the Nightskulkers to hunt smaller creatures for food.

One day, he had heard that a king from a local kingdom was visiting, and he saw an opportunity to finally get out of Brightwater and lead a better life. During the King’s visit, Flynt had snuck into the carriage that he rode in on, and had swiped a bracelet laced with obsidian and gold and successfully brought it back to the sewers. Flynt, overwhelmed with joy, decided to sell the bracelet for a large sum of money. He wanted to really try and haggle with whoever he was going to sell it to, and decided to try the bracelet on first, as to see how it looked.

Once Flynt had put on the bracelet, the bracelet began to hum and grow hotter. A soft green glow emanated from it, as the bracelet began to scorch Flynt’s skin. The bracelet had welded itself to Flynt’s wrist and no matter how hard he tried to take it off, the bracelet would not budge. At the time, Flynt hadn’t thought much of it, since he did not feel any different. He went to bed for the night.

The next day, while skulking about in public, one of the town's guards had approached and questioned him about the bracelet he had, and how someone as lowly as him came across the bracelet. Flynt had lied, saying he discovered it at the bottom of the riverbed near the sewer entrance. However, at the conclusion of the lie, Flynt felt a huge pain in his wrist as the bracelet began to glow green once again. When the pain subsided, Flynt looked down and realized that his hand now looks ghostly with a soft green glow emanating from it.

In a panic, Flynt ran back into the sewers where he remained for some time. After quite a while, he decided that he needed to find a fix to this curse. He put on a single leather glove to hide his hand and bracelet from the world, grabbed his bow, his sickles, his pet rabbit Jemini, and set off to find a cure for this curse.
