How did you first manifest your powers?

After weeks of research out of the little book my bishop gave me, and weeks of fruitless, frustrating attempts, I summoned Marchosias- the sin. I was at my wit's end, overly dwelling on Rift's kidnapping. [sorry, should I rephrase? no. okay.] I was doing the rituals in my sleep, practically. The short candle in the middle went out and as I watched it, it went perfectly black as if the flame was still there and shedding darkness instead of glowing. It felt as if it wanted to get out of the circle I'd drawn. So I did as the book said, recited the verbal contract I had made, waited for the outer candles and all. Broke the circle with my finger, and that darkness struck me in the head like it was lightning, passed straight through. Got a blinding headache from that, I went straight to bed and couldn't hardly leave for three days. And when next I woke up, that presence was the dog. So, painstakingly. First manifested the powers painstakingly, I'd say.

Brain, according to the evaluation.

What do you hide in the deepest parts of you?

This, I think. Where I went, what I'm doing, how I ruined Rift's future. The, ha, the nature of things. I hid all that from the church, a couple hundred folks who knew my face and trusted me. I hid it from Rift's family. [silence approx 30 sec.]
