The Wrist is the oldest and most stable stellar subregion of The Last Hand, positioned at the edge closest to the shattered core of The Milkyway Galaxy. It contains ancient, dimming stars and planetary systems that have survived the galactic heat death longer than most. The region is rich in relic worlds, megastructures, and dormant technologies left behind by extinct civilizations. Due to its age and proximity to the galactic core, the Wrist has a sense of reverence and mystery, often seen as the "ancestral cradle" of the Last Hand.
The Ringed Host of the Halorim occupy this region, their ancient bastions stil stand among the ruins. The Halorim, known for their near immortal lifespans and advanced understandings on the nature of life and biology, view the Wrist as the closest remaning similarly to The Creator's now abandoned plans. Their territory is steictly of limit to others, and clearly marked out on a celestial level by colossal, ringed stations orbiting long-dead worlds.
The Wrist serves as a buffer between the contested expande of the Palm and the void left by the galactic collapse as the Last Hand drifts away from the cores gravitic pull. Coreseekers, archaeologists, and spiritual seekers often make pilgrimages to the Wrist, hoping to uncover remnants, knowledge or treasures of the past or seek enlightenment from the Halorim.
