Definition:
Military Craft are ships specifically designed for combat and defense. These vessels are built with an emphasis on superior weaponry, shielding, and combat readiness.
Characteristics:
Purpose: Used by planetary defense forces, factions, or large military groups for interstellar defense, offensive operations, or high-risk missions. They can perform tasks like securing territories, engaging pirates or enemy factions, and defending high-value assets.
Technology Level: Military ships are equipped with advanced weaponry, such as railguns, missile arrays, and shields, in addition to being Skim-capable. They are built to withstand combat scenarios and often feature redundant systems for damage control.
Combat Capabilities: These ships will have powerful offensive and defensive systems, such as heavy armor, long-range artillery, anti-ship weapons, and specialized Skim-path interference systems. They may also be equipped with anti-pirate measures or long-range scanning systems to track enemy ships.
Speed and Capacity: While still Skim-capable, military ships tend to be heavily armored, which can slow down their Skim travel. They can carry larger crews and have the capacity for extensive onboard weaponry and repair systems.
