The Tersodian Guard is one of the Shield Regiment's Departments, in charge of protecting the Province of Tersodia in the Holy Empire of Acolytius. They are under the command of the Province's Marshal, Tiberius Bellona.
As Tersodia is one of the most populated Provinces within the Empire, its guard force is one of the largest to best protect all its people. This, combined with Tersodia's central location in the Empire, make the Tersodian Guard some of the busiest in the country. There is, however, a noticeable difference between the eastern and western regions of the Province. As the capital of Magnegris is located in the east, the western areas in and around the Emerald Forest struggle with danger a bit more due to their distance from the central authority. No part of the Province is poorly protected, however.
Most of the Tersodian Guard are known for their dome-like helmets with wide brims, which are coincidentally a similar shape to the straw hats worn by farmers in the Province. The guards also wear basic half-plate armor of steel, with the tabards underneath being a faded red. If the guard carries a shield, it is painted red with a Flor Lili: A traditional symbol which signifies growth. The royal guard, known as The Quicorian Guards, wear vastly different armor. While still outfitted in half-plate of steel, their armor is coated in brass with a crimson trim. Their helmets are also different, fully enclosing the head with a Y-shaped opening. These helmets are known for their angular appearance and crests of horsehair. The name 'Quicorian' is Imperanti and translates to "those who guard the heart."
