The Flumultrian Guard is a Department of the Shield Regiment that defends Flumultria, one of the Empire's Provinces. They are commanded by Jilora Greendew, the Provincial Marshal.
Flumultria is a vast region of the Empire, with large stretches of uninhabited grasslands separating its settlements. The scale of these areas makes it difficult to watch over them, and places such as the town of Pilferhaven are known for their lack of guards. Thankfully, recent changes have led to better enforcement throughout the Province. Alongside increasing the number of guards and their wages, the Flumultrian Guard are taught how to ride Horses to easily traverse the long distances between the cities they watch over. Even with these changes, however, there are still some corners of Flumultria that avoid the eyes of the law.
The Flumultrian Guard's uniforms are known for their simplicity, with basic steel splint armor and leather surcoats. The surcoats are branded with the Province's crest, and it sits directly over the heart of the wearer. Their helmets are simple as well, being steel domes with a nose guard in the front. The royal guard force, named The Azure Shield after Flumultria's capital of Azurmuth, are denoted by heavier half-plate armor and small horns on their helmets. The horns reflect the cattle industry, which is the economic backbone of the region.
