The Hátlön Plateau is a plateau found in the western foothills of the Spine of the North. It defines the territory of the Highlands, which is a Hold in the Kingdom of Kalvete.
The Hátlön is defined by its humidity and moisture, being noticeably different than the dry environment across the rest of Kalvete. This, alongside Lake Headwater and the countless streams that flow through the plateau, makes the soil somewhat fertile and supports agriculture practices, although the crops that can be grown here are somewhat limited. The Kingdom of Kalvete heavily relies on this fact, as there are few other places in their borders that can sustain crop growth.
