Pyyrhos Elegan Goes to Kingston

Session
January 30, 2021

LASTHAVEN

Pyrrhos is well enough to return to Kingston, and so we prepare for the teleportation circle.

We pay our dues at the Temple of Boccob and make our way to the Elegan compound, via carriage. We arrive, and there is a tearful reunion of the Elegan family.

Pyrrhos tells them that he has a lot to speak about, and they leave to talk.

Meanwhile, we talk about assaulting the Master and his Giant guardians.  Codex points out that assaulting the Master directly will mean we will have to fight the Master and his Giants. We need to even the odds, to fight the Giants and the Master separately. To do that, we need help from other Gods to protect us, just until we can get past the giants and be face to face with the Master.

We learn about giants and the Ordning – the ancient caste system of Giants. We find out about the Hill, Frost and Fire Giants, their strengths and general lack of weaknesses.

Simon goes to the Temple of St. Cuthbert to speak to the Inquisitor for aid. He wants to enchant his Mother’s sword to become a holy weapon. The inquisitor arranges for Simon to speak to St. Cuthbert himself, by hitting him with his massive Warhammer.

St. Cuthbert listens impassively to Simon’s request, and tells him that he will consider it. He is to retrieve his mother’s greatsword from Lasthaven.

We make arrangements to buy a variety of potions and minor magic items.

We then return to Lasthaven to pick up Simon’s mother’s sword – but he remembers that the sword is at the Tower. So off he rides while we relax in town.

Simon arrives and grasps his Mother’s Sword. It has been blessed by St. Cuthbert, but can never be used against the helpless and the good. He names it Grace, after his mother.

He returns to us, and we teleport to Southspire. Berdyn speaks to his family about speaking to Dumathoin, and we spend time at the Silver Lodge Inn. Berdyn is directed to the small temple, and he speaks to a person about meeting a High Priest. Hopefully we’ll meet with one tomorrow.
