Lasthaven
After sleeping in and having a leisurely breakfast, we approach the gate, because a group of Orcs have arrived and want to speak to Bale.
Laughingfang is there, the new warchief, with Lazgar. He and Bale make an agreement to trade next summer. We retrieve Xug, Shazgob, and the babies, and hand them over. Codex notes that it is very likely Shazgob is Laughingfang’s mother, given how they interact with one another.
We also make arrangements to Teleportation Circle the Orcs to Deseragar so that they can skip travelling over the plains. In exchange, they agree to leave Deseragar unspoiled until the first melt in 221.
With the Orcs breaking down camp, we then teleportation Circle to Everlife. We find that the Circle in Everlife is guarded by a paladin of St. Cuthbert and a warrior from the Kingdom of the Tiger. As we return, we see that the Kingdom of the tiger have returned in force, and there are also several people there that aren’t paladins or Tiger people. We head to the Tower and speak to Michael. Michael tells us that groups of people have returned to the city from Kingston, and he is providing them with housing in exchange for work to clean up the city.
Michael lets us know that the light appeared midafternoon yesterday (around when the Master was defeated). We resolve to head out to the Cemetery and find out what is happening.
At the cemetery we discover that the tomb where Bahamut is resting has an opening in the ground, where light is streaming. In the opening is a massive chamber and the enormous colossal body of Bahamut, holding in it’s paw a horn. Maud takes the horn, and the light fades. This is the metallic dragon horn.
Codex’s research tells him that the Horn of metallic dragons is quite different from Tiamat’s Horn. It does not do anything, as Bahamut will come when he is truly needed without a horn being blown. But it is a symbol of hope for those that believe in Bahamut.
We cover up the hole and Albrect Johnson and Crea Cloudfang arrive, carrying the Flame of Pelor, placing it back in the tomb. They will make sure that work will be done to repair the mausoleum.
We leave and teleport to Southspire, returning our weapons borrowed to fight the giants. We also trade the Hammer of Thunderbolts for a Manual of Gainful Exercise, so Simon can get stronger.
We then travel to Maplebrook. It is storming, so Codex controls the weather to just make it cloudy 5 miles around him. Power!
We contact Yadira to arrange a payment for our extradimensional space. We arrange to pay over half the costs, and then she shows us the space.
It is, in a word, incredible, a fully realized slice of world, that is all ours.
We return to Lasthaven,
and spend the rest of the day relaxing.
