Returning Orcs and Daughters

Session

Lasthaven

We head to the Trading post and get supplied. Bale speaks to Katla and makes awkward plans for dinner, after the vote has been completed later on this week.

On our way out the Steward speaks to us, asking for some way to contact Bale. We hand him 2 scrolls of Sending for emergencies.

Then we head out of the town and speak to Laughingfang, who looks a little younger, thanks to the potion of longevity we gave him.

He takes us to the encampment. The encampment has a number of shrines and effigies, including a statue of Grummsh, as well as a pile of broken femurs and a massive greatsword dripping blood, that orcs periodically cut themselves on to keep it bloody. We also see an orcish ossuary, as well as 4 graves. This is more orcish religious culture that we don’t quite understand.

We teleport the Orcs to Deseragar, and take our leave of them. Then we explore Deseragar. There are a number of interesting places, among them a massive cathedral and a royal vault.  We also find a thieves guild that has a secret passage into the royal vault. Probably a way to move illicit equipment or people into the Royal area.

We then teleport to the Underdark, within the Trading post near the Southspire station.  We collect Kraken, thanking Sarode for looking after him.  We then take the horrifying log flume deeper into the Underdark. As we leave the flume we see a cranium rat watching us, likely a scout of the Elder Brain.

We enter Chrysoprase, and speak briefly with the queen.  Bale tells them that we are getting Jacquette, and the Queen acquiesces. We head to the adopted family’s household.

Jacquette says goodbye to her adopted parents, Bale gives her parents a sending stone so they can speak to their adopted daughter. Then we travel outside of town and teleportation circle to Kingston.

We then take the carriage back to Emma and Gilbert’s place, and Pyyrhos is pacing outside his house.  Gilbert confesses he told his son. Jacquette Nethre Elynbrigge-Morleyand Pyyrhos Elynbrigge-Alegan meet, it is slightly awkward, Jacquette has no memory of her father, and Pyrrhos is struck by how much she looks like her mother.

They head inside Pyyrhos’s place and we leave them be, it is late at night/early morning, and we rest.
