We return to Brazzemal’s lair, slipping past the Drow patrols. They are taking over Snurre’s Halls.
There we take the remainder of the treasure, and teleport to the Summit. From there, we devise some methods that will be used to calm down the prisoners should the exchange be successful with the Elder Brain. Some opium Maud acquired in Everlife warehouses is made into an injectible.
From here we return to Kingston and get a letter from Falanel and Niclas. We head to Niclas’ royal quarters and speak to them. Niclas and Falanel plan to marry and then adopt, and Niclas wants to check with Abel to make sure he has his blessing, as it changes the lineage to put Abel lower.
Abel has no problem with this.
We then attend Rosa and William Lytton’s charity ball, Berdyn donates money and inspires the other nobles to match or beat him. Meanwhile Codex and Berdyn overhear that Isabel Elynbrigge-Jendryng and Peter Kyngstowne are continuing to challenge the claim that Cecily Elynbrigge-Kynstowne has to the Southern Kingdoms. Peter is trying to be crowned King, and if he does, then we will be in some trouble. Another problem for another time.
We head back to Abel’s home, and rest for the night.
