KINGSTON
Codex and Berdyn build a metal cake (Electrum with Platinum icing) poorly as a gift to Xnxotzdxrc on his going away party.
Codex is also told by sending by Titania that the mute mage twins have completed their spellcasting.
We Word of Recall to Lasthaven, and hold a small party for Xnxotzdxrc and wish him well. We give him the cake and Simon plays a farewell tune. Codex banishes him with some tears in his eye, the Xorn is confused but understands the sentiment.
We talk to Titania and she tells us that the Xorn provided us with an entrance to the start of the gem seam a short distance north of the city. It also provided us with too much stone, and there is a bunch of extra boulders that have been placed against the curtain wall around Lasthaven.
We bid Titania and the mute twin mages farewell. We then speak to the Steward about the King’s decision to give the mine to the Town, only taking 20% of the raw resources. He is taken aback, and tells Bale that this means he will need to define who is a resident of the town.
Berdyn then gets the Zinc rod built from the rough Zinc chunk brought by the Xorn. We can now plane shift to the Plane of Earth.
We meet Wallace Stoneshaper, a dwarven builder that is in charge of the Lasthaven construction. He lets us know that they are building a large bunkhouse for the town that they’ll divide into small apartments for the families over the winter, moving people out to houses as they complete them.
They mention that there is the possibility of geothermal heat, which is something we can talk to the gnomes about, as a long-term solution to the issue of heat.
Bale goes to speak with Katla and Cynthia, and then we teleport back to the Summit, and then through the Sanctuary to Kingston. We get dressed and prepared for the Cornwallis ball.
