Everlife Noble District
We have sent a letter to Karesi and get a response. We are to meet them.
We also give Michael a letter stamped by the Seal of the Artisan Guild, Maud is the acting Head Artisan. The letter gives amnesty to the people in the city from looting, which unfortunately includes the gangs. For now, everyone can resupply without worry of being criminalized when the nobles return.
We go to the Khan’s holding (a Temple, the Khan is considered a divine being by the Kingdoms of the Tiger, and her holding is a holy place) and meet Karesi, who greets us. The holding is large, and contains the people of the Tiger – They are farming and doing drills, with high walls keeping anything out.
We are given an audience with the Khan and ask her to assist. The Khan, it turns out, is a 15 year old girl. Very formal and mature for her age, but still a child. Maud negotiates with the Khan, and in exchange for direct contact with the Dwarves, they will protect the spire and the people residing within.
While there the Khan’s bodyguard reacts to mention of dealing directly with the Dwarves, and cutting out White Star. We find out later the bodyguard is named Ban Chao, and he is a former member of White Star. He left the organization, and then killed three different White star groups that tried to bring him in for abandoning the organization. He is currently considered “Kill on sight” by White Star.
We leave and Codex provides Karesi with the information on the Noble’s betrayal and treachery, showing her the gate logs and other evidence. She is angered but grateful, and offers a reward. Codex asks for a magic weapon for Berdyn, and Karesi gives him a finely made, enchanted short sword.
We are given a letter to give to the Dwarves, and we return to the spire.
We tell Michael and Albrect about the agreement by the Kingdom of the Tiger to protect the Spire and the people in it from the rival gangs. With the Spire protected, we can return to LastHaven.
Everlife Outskirts
We then head out, escaping the city and into the farmhouses outside the city limits. While camping over the evening we are attacked by a group of 4 Spectres. We defeat them, but it proves that the undead are moving further and further out of the city. LastHaven doesn’t have high walls, and may be in some danger.
