Everlife Merchant District
Investigate more warehouses. We enter into the healing supplies warehouse and find two bodies, they were locked in and died. Then we are attacked by a pair of ghosts, and then a third ghost. Berdyn and Maud are aged by them. Berdyn is very aged. We defeat them.
In addition to medical supplies, there is an odd stone puzzle box. We cannot open it, not yet.
Harpstringer family were the ones locked in the warehouse and died. Codex speaks to the man from beyond the grade. He leaned that they were locked in by other members of “the guild”. Codex puts them to rest and cremates them, collected the ashes to eventually inter into the hallowed ground in LastHaven.
We head to the warehouse that holds gems and valuables. It is guarded by a Shield Guardian, and a corpse of a man left in there. The man has the Amulet to control the guardian, and was likely a pretty powerful wizard. It seemed he died of natural causes, a heart attack or a stroke, probably shortly before they evacuated.
We find a magical cloak of displacement, on the body of the mage. Berdyn wears it, he is now difficult to hit, but also not quite where he seems to be. Passing him things is difficult.
Maud plays with her newfound Bag of Tricks and summons a Giant Elk in the middle of the jewelry warehouse. It is irritated to be in there. We have to smash a hole in the building to get it out.
We then send it out to attack undead, and we hear it in the distance, making elk noises and destroying undead.
In the warehouse after that we face 3 banshees. Two are defeated, and one gets away. It hasn’t wailed, and Codex is worried that we may be ambushed, so he covers his ears in wax. We collect things from the Warehouse, and the banshee doesn’t return.
We return to the Tower and drop off our items, and return to the merchant’s quarter.
We investigate one more warehouse and then return to the Tower.
