Lair of the White Wyrm
Organizing moving the dragon hoard, and the remains of the dragon. We do find a secret passage in the lair, the passage hasn’t been used in over a hundred years. It is in the pantry, behind a wall of crystal that can only be opened by the cold breath of a white dragon, which Maud can do. At the end of the passage we find a room that has a dais, upon which is a broken horn, with 5 gems of all the chromatic colors. There’s writing on the horn.
Codex uses a scroll of comprehend languages to read the horn, and realizes this is an artifact – The horn of Tiamat. If it is taken to the summoning circle at the Citadel, and blood from 5 Great Wyrms of the chromatics taken from their slit necks (doesn’t need to kill them, but it does greatly weaken them), if it is blown then Tiamat is summoned to this plane of existence.
This act breaks the horn asunder, and it can only be repaired with a wish or repaired on one of the great anvils of the Gods (Moradin, Primus, etc). It might be repaired by the application of Sovereign Glue, but this is more uncertain.
There is a warning on the horn. If it is brought near to the Horn of the Lightbringer (this is identified by Maud as Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon, the God of Metallic good dragons) – then both horns will be destroyed. Probably really explosively and with a great deal of destruction.
We decide to keep the horn in the secret passage for safe keeping. We will try to find the horn of the Lightbringer to destroy this artifact, and prevent Tiamat from entering this world.
However, it is clear that Tiamat was successfully summoned once before, because the horn is broken. Was she the cause of the great freeze?
We work on the plan to collapse the main entrance of the lair of the White Wyrm. It will mean the only way in or out is the Teleportation Circle. This will be done with Bale polymorphed into a white dragon to tear down and freeze the entrance, tomorrow. It will keep the history and the horn of Tiamat away from easy access by others.
