The Drow Priestess

Underdark South of Chrysoprase

We decide the best course of action is to use Teleportation Circle to return the Drow Priestess to her mom. However, a shackled Drow would be a problem.  So, we decide to polymorph her into a cat and then re-shackle her.  That way Alissia can safely get her home unnoticed, without alarming the guards at the Circle in SouthSpire.

We use Sending to set it all up and Alyssia is in position. We restrain the drow priestess, unshackle her, and polymorph her.  Unfortunately, the shackles don’t work on a cat. So now we have an angry, spitting, cat that can turn invisible and cast darkness and fly.

Codex sends the bad news to Alissia, who sends back a lot of colorful elven profanity. 

The next few moments are of us desperately throwing the cat into a bag, dispelling the darkness, and Berdyn throwing the cat through the teleportation circle.

We are victorious! Almost defeated by an angry cat, but victorious.

We travel further into the cavern system, and encounter the lair of a Behir.  Codex stays back out of sight, as they hate dragonkind.  Maud manages to speak to the Behir in Draconic and bribes it with some gems to let us go, and kowtow to it’s declaration that it is the lord of this area, now that the Drow are dead.  We escape a tough fight.

We head into a marshy area, where water falls into a deep pool.  In there, we are attacked by a Froghemoth, a monstrous creature. Worshipped by Bullywugs as gods.  They are animals, erupting from the ground and eat everything.

At tbe end of the cavern there is a set of large iron doors. These doors are the same construction as the doors out on the plains, where we fought the Land Sharks.  The same civilization? But which one? Is this the path to the drow city?

We feed the dead drow to the river, the fish make quick work of them. We return to the drow complex and find out that the Handmaidens of LLoth have opened a windows over the shrine, looking in.  The Handmaiden, the Yochol, was making some sort of demand. Codex dispels the window, and we burn down the shrine. And then we run. 

We decide that rather than returning to Chrysoprase, we instead head deeper into the Underdark, leading the Drow on a merry chase.
