Once a proud forge-fortress of Khorne during the Age of Chaos, Cinderhold stood as a blazing beacon of fury and bloodshed in Aqshy. It was a place where weapons of unparalleled brutality were forged and battles were fought without end. However, as the forces of Order pushed back against Chaos, Cinderhold's defenders were annihilated, leaving only ash and echoes of its fiery legacy.

For centuries, Cinderhold was forgotten, its once-roaring forges silent and its bloodstained halls abandoned. Yet the fires were never fully extinguished. When the Gilded Skulls arrived in Aqshy, guided by blood divination and seeking a place to anchor their ambitions, Moranak claimed the dormant fortress as his own. Through rituals of slaughter, the flames were reignited, and the fortress began its rebirth under the warband’s rule.

Cinderhold's blazing forges burn anew, shaping weapons and armour gilded in the gold of Chamon, while its blood-soaked halls echo with the cries of sacrifice. For Moranak, the fortress is more than a base of operations—it is a testing ground for his rule, a crucible where his vision for the Gilded Skulls will either thrive or be consumed by the fiery nature of Aqshy itself.
