Spawning pools, based in the bowels of the Cave of Rok-Nar, use water from the River Sallow spring and heat from the Volcano Esmir. The volcanic bedrock is gradually released into the river and then into the pools, creating a unique environment for the propagation of new Seraphon. Most new births in the first five cycles carried lava and ash coloration. In sunlight, the scales have a bronze tinge.
After the Volcano Esmir explosion, the pools lay unmaintained for a long time, so they now have a more greenish-blue tint, but they still retain their name and Itzi-Huichi is working to restore them to their original color.
