Battlereport - Itze notebook

In the desolate road, where the winds of death whispered through the skeletal remains of a once-vibrant world, a caravan of Ossiarch Bonereapers traveled with grim purpose. Their task was to gather the remains of fallen warriors, the sacred bones that would be reforged into warriors of the Mortarchs’ will. This macabre procession, led by a Bone-Tithe Collector Azol, moved steadily, the eerie clatter of bones accompanying each step.

Their Morghast Archai, Mortek Guard, Immortis Guard walked alongside the caravan. The sky was overcast, a dull grey veil cast over the land as they made their way through a vast plain of withered trees and jagged rocks.

But in the distance, the earth began to tremble.

From the thick jungles at the edge of the plain, a thunderous sound echoed across the barren landscape. It wasn’t the rumble of thunder, nor the clash of bones on bones—this was something far more primal. The air grew thick with the scent of damp earth and ancient beasts.

The first to emerge from the jungle was a Stegadons, a colossal beasts with thick, spiked scales and a massive, lumbering body. Its horns were twisted like gnarled tree branches, and atop it stood the wild-eyed Skink Beastmaster Tiktok and his skink followers. The creatures bellowed, theys roar shaking the very earth beneath the Ossiarchs’ feet. The giant bows they carried on their backs tensed and the first arrows flew out.Along with the stegadons, Itzi-Huichi stepped out of the forest and onto Queshua, her venomous spittle landing on the bone warriors right after the arrows and spears.

And then, from the shadows of the jungle, emerged the terrifying form of a Bastiladon Xenka, its massive back bristling with rows of deadly snakes. A fierce, glowing energy pulsed from Sotek head on the creature’s back, the light of the Seraphon’s celestial power bright enough to cut through the gloom. The Ossiarch Bonereapers drew their weapons, bone and steel alike, ready for the inevitable clash.

But it was the arrival of the Carnosaur Takenhu with her master Rok-Nar that sealed their fate. The ground shook as the massive creature, with scales like polished bronze and jaws that could snap a warrior in two, charged from the jungle with terrifying speed. Its roar was deafening, a primal scream that echoed across the plain.

The constructs formed ranks, preparing for the oncoming onslaught. They were a force of death, but the forces they faced were ancient, filled with the primal power of the Seraphon.

The Carnosaur, a beast of raw fury, charged into the fray, its jaws snapping shut with a deafening crack. It tore through the ranks of the Ossiarchs, its razor-sharp claws raking through the bone-armored bodies of the undead. The Carnosaur’s wild, frenzied attacks tore apart their lines, scattering bones and causing chaos among the Ossiarch forces. Even the Bone-Tithe Collector found himself hard-pressed to maintain control over his warband as his forces crumbled before the might of the Seraphon.

Then came the Bastiladon. It unleashed a barrage of celestial energy from its back, the searing beams cutting through the bone constructs with ease. Each blast of light shattered bone, turned skeletons to ash, and sent the Ossiarchs reeling. The Bone-Tithe Collector attempted to command his warriors to form a defensive perimeter, but it was too late. Mortek Guard was destroyed and Mortisan Boneshaper Intern fell shortly after.

The next strike came from the Stegadons Quatcha and Tik'ar. With surprising agility for its size, it charged into the ranks of the Ossiarchs, trampling Immortis Guard beneath its massive feet. The spiked horns of the Stegadon swung through the air, impaling those unlucky enough to be caught in its path. The Ossiarchs, bound by their eternal purpose, did not falter—they fought back with cold, unyielding precision. But the Stegadon’s rampage was relentless.

As the last of the Ossiarch Bonereapers fell, the jungle fell silent once more. The Stegadon bellowed a victorious roar, the Bastiladon’s light flickering with triumph, and the Carnosaur let out a final, guttural cry as it surveyed the fallen.

The Seraphon, having reclaimed the land from the bone-touched invaders, slowly retreated into the jungle, leaving behind the shattered remnants of the Ossiarch caravan. The bones, once gathered with such purpose, now lay scattered and forgotten, mere relics of an ancient power that had been too arrogant, too determined to remember the primal forces of the world.

The Ossiarch Bonereapers had been destroyed—not by the hand of death, but by the primal fury of the Seraphon, whose beasts had reminded the dead of their place in the cycle of life and death.
