"Que" Quercus Hojaoscura

Portavoz del Bosque (Hlas lesa)

Quercus Hojaoscura is the current Portavoz del Bosque, leader of the Sylvaneth warband known as Que y sus amigos. They are bound to El Antiguo—an ancient tree that serves as the heart of their domain. Despite his esteemed position, Que is notorious for his tendency to deliver overly long and dramatic speeches, often leading others to refer to him simply as "Que" (What?). He has embraced this nickname with amusement and always responds with a knowing "Exactly."

Despite his theatrical demeanor, Que is a powerful warrior and strategist, who views his battles as part of the endless cycle of the forest—growth, death, and renewal. His connection to nature runs deep, yet his indecisive nature sometimes leads to absurd situations, where he spends far too much time contemplating the metaphysical essence of leaves while his warriors impatiently await his orders.

Quercus Hojaoscura was not born a leader. He was originally part of a Sylvaneth warband tasked with protecting El Antiguo. After the disappearance of his predecessor, he was unexpectedly chosen as the new Portavoz—allegedly because he gave the loudest and longest answer to the question, “Who will take command?”

While many initially doubted his abilities, his natural charisma and deep connection to the forest eventually made him a recognized leader. His first true test came when he was tasked with assembling his own warband and setting out to gain experience—or at least, that was how it was presented.

Upon his return from the expedition, Quercus Hojaoscura dedicated himself fully to the development of his grove. While other Sylvaneth focused on war, he concentrated on growth and renewal. Under his leadership, the grove flourished, yet his approach was not welcomed by all. Some saw him as too indecisive, while others claimed that his love for long-winded deliberations hindered his potential as a warrior.

That changed when dark forces began seeping into their lands. The forest, which was supposed to be their sanctuary, began to twist—colors warped, magic faded, and Chaos corruption disrupted the balance between life and death. El Antiguo, the heart of the grove, was afflicted by a strange autumnal transformation.Que knew that his grove would never be the same again, and though he still believed in renewal, he understood that it was time to act. He gathered his most capable warriors—those willing to follow him—and set out in search of answers.

Que never wanted to be a warrior, fate led him here. The forest chose him, and he will not fail.
