Formed by the river Pyrestone in the eons past, the Pyrestone valley is among the most significant stretches of land in this part of the Ravaged Coast. Rich with fertile soil and providing a quick access to the surrounding seas through the main river and its subsidiaries, the region has in the eons past been a birthplace of countless of tribes which then formed the many civilisations of old, renowned far and wide. Now, only ruined monuments of past greatness remain. Destroyed by the greed and treachery of mortals and hordes of chaos alike, these civilisations have crumbled to dust, leaving forgotten treasures and places of power for those brave enough to venture here. In the past century, a slow reclamation of these parts has begun, as the forces of Sigmar and his allies struck out into all the corners of the mortal realms. However, the recent doom diminished what gains have been made so far, leaving the area wild and dangerous once more.
