Vieri Selarius

Once, Vieri was a minor noble of Hammerhal Aqsha. For decades, he and his family were renown for their excellent wines from Ghyran. This lucarative existence was shattered when the Kingsblood Conspiracy was uncovered, a plot to turn the population of Hammerhal into slobbering ghouls via tainted wine. Not only was almost the entire wine stock of the Selarius family destroyed, but all clients ceased business with them, even after they were cleared of any involvement by the city council. Soon, Vieri and his family had to move to the Drudges, a hive of crime and poverty.

Recently the destitute Vieri saw the pamflets where an outpost of Sigmar near the Gnaw, named Yndrinienburg, was asking for soldiers willing to bark on a journey of fame and fortune. Vieri knew that this venture was a most lethal one, with one in three succumbing to the many dangers found in that forsaken place. But the thought of his sons being forced to join the Freeguild, and the chance of being given Steelhelm duty, steeled Vieri's resolve. Soon, he shared his last glass of Veridian Vino with his wife, promising to send any wealth found back to her and their children.

While Vieri's heart lies with the finer tastes of Ghyran's liquid treasures, he has been trained in his youth as a competent Freeguild Marshal, where he was well versed in the stubborn Hammerhal fighting style. Now, he leads a ragtag army of Sigmarite zealots and outlaws to claim the Temple of Bel-Ashtar, and if possible, start a new business far from his stained past.
