The Golden Backs, also known as the blond knights because of the tall plume on their helmet, are the elite corps of the Great Imperial Army and, regardless of their military rank or birth lineage, are universally recognized as outstanding figures of the Realm. These soldiers take orders only from the generals and the captains of the Golden Backs, outranking the officers of every army force in the House with the exception of generals.
When not wearing armor, their uniform is white and green, with intricate embroidery in shining gold thread throughout.
The best and worthiest of these already noble littlings are further recognizable by their fully white uniform with white-haired plume, and take the honorary title of Captain of the Golden Backs, which however, doesn’t influence their military rank.
