The Tristarred

Not all soldiers bring honor to the Fairy folk and the Realm’s flag.

After the “Brothers!” edict a battalion from Mount Guignol took advantage of the absence of Colonel Jules des Larmes to take over the Piano and brutally murder all sluagh, sprites, and boggarts who lived there, as well as all faeries who had fraternized with them.

These traitorous cowards tore two of the five stars from their uniforms to signal their contempt for the Tsarina and her protector, Ludmillen, and from then on, they were known as the Tristarred. 

In the years after the High Council was established, the surviving Tristarred began to gather more followers and reorganized their ranks, plotting to overthrow the Tsarina and “purge” the Realm of all foreigners from other Folks.

The hyper-nationalist terrorists chose as theirs the red and blue uniform from the Piano, placing a six-pointed star instead of the fleur-de-lis. Their traditional flag depicts three six-pointed stars in a white circles over a field of red. Simply owning one such flag was considered high treason, and punished with both life imprisonment and the appropriation of all assets.
