At the end of the Household War, the Captain of the Great Imperial Army Marcus Meister was a Sentry with much experience and many medals, but he wasn’t a youngster anymore. As such, he and his company of veterans were offered a choice: they could either go to preside over an embassy in the Free Dominions or accept an office job in Tassen West.
Animated by their will to serve the nation on the frontline as always, the veterans founded the Blackstar Den (in High Fae Der Schwarze Stern), and chose an emblem that would pay tribute to the Realm and the colors of the Cupboard, under which they had spent many years in the army.
The hunters of the Blackstar mainly work to patrol the Inbetweens near the Cupboard on behalf of the Duke, to escort private clients on their travels, and to hunt bandits in the region.
Many of them act like real bounty hunters, animated by a general and sincere sense of patriotism or by the sweet call of Crystals. And some times even by both. Their historical headquarters is located beneath the Cupboard but, in all confidence, you have a far better chance of hiring a Blackstar in an alehouse in Glasburg or in the underworld of Unter.
