Robotics
Exists.
Related
Not what we typically think of as robotics, but power armour and mechs are certainly an area of Research & Development.
Martian military contractors are working on both.
Ubiquity
Common on Earth, Uncommon in The Belt, and Rare on Mars (due to the networking lockdown).
Intelligence
Often
describe as a "Virtual Intelligence" rather than an Artificial
Intelligence. Robots often have access to large datasets, and can be
described as smart, but not thinking.
Human-facing robots will often have a display and/or speaker for communication.
Power Source
Let's not worry about that and just say there are both free-standing and tethered robots.
Aesthetics/Form Factors
The visual aesthetics of robots runs a wide gamut, depending on age and whether meant for in-home use, client-facing commercial, or factory use.
They are rarely humanoid except in particularly specialized use-cases.
Public-facing
robots tend to be maintained to look sleeker or cute, including robots
used in retail settings. They have a corp-branded shiny shell.
Factory and behind-the-scenes use are often less maintained though they may have started off nice and shiny originally.
Older models may also be less shiny and look more like a tractor or power tool.
Here are some examples from Jalan Perez who captures robots with personality well.
