The Ronrif is a carnivorous drake that lives in The Urysas. It is said that they are descended from a greater drake known as a Dragon that went extinct during the time of the Chosen. They primarily feed on birds and small animals like rabbits and mice that can survive the cold typically by using their snow-white fur that they use to survive the freezing cold as a way to blend in with the snow, and lying in wait, ambushing any sufficiently large enough meal that walks by. Ronrifs typically live in packs of four, and typically give live birth to their offspring.
The newborn period lasts for about one week, before their infant period, which lasts about four months. The total development period lasts about one to two years, afterwhich, they join the rest of the pack as an adult. If the pack has reached their limit of members, than the Ronrif goes off to start their own pack, and the cycle continues.
Ronrifs are covered in thick, white fur, except for their wings, face, and paws. Their wings are covered in a thin fuzz, while their face is clad in thick scales. Ronrifs typically grow to the size of a polar bear, much smaller than their extinct dragon counterparts, but much bigger than what travelers who encountered the beasts would have them be.
