The katana is a blade made by The Yunnaiteddo Federation smiths. It originally started as a new design of swords to commemorate Yunnaiteddo independence from the Kingdom of Falglor. These new swords were then fine-tuned and developed overtime, being given to nobles first as ornamental weapons, and then as actual tools of war given to the elite samurai soldiers of the clans. The modern day katana is a created and used as an instrument of war, a sign of tradition, honor, and status. To call it a tool would be disingenuous. It is an art form , the katana is a paintbrush, the world a canvas, and blood a paint.
