The katana is a blade made by The Yunnaiteddo Federation smiths. It originally started as a new design of swords to commemorate Yunnaiteddo independence from the Kingdom of Falglor. These new swords were then fine-tuned and developed overtime, being given to nobles first as ornamental weapons, and then as actual tools of war given to the elite Sazui soldiers of the clans. However, katanas are rare to find because of how prized they are, and because they're a symbol of rank and position. Most katanas are heavily personalized to the Sazui and to the nobles that wield them, with many being passed down through family trees throughout the ages.
