Corkrik fell to the Tiresian Empire after its debts were called in. A temperate region bordered by some really big mountains, it is largely rural and agrarian.
Corkrik has a tradition of oral storytelling, mostly of engaging tales that teach a moral or social lesson. Tales are collected by "Grandmas" and "Grandpas" who can gain local fame by having a large repertoire, especially if they're tales about a currently popular moral.
