Upon arriving within a few miles of Grembul, the air becomes thick with black smoke, and the hammers working metal can be heard ringing from even further. Grembul is a city of industry. Here, most weapons and armor are supplied to the Dalish military, and even to Tre' Drakken when needed. Being a city of industry definitely has a dark side. The smoke here is almost unbearable, and hard to breathe. Many inhabitants wear masks, or facial coverings to prolong their life.
The streets are lined with sickness, and the lack of any color sits in Grembul like the constant soot in the air. The heavy population of dwarf and gnome help to lighten the city a bit, by holding massive drinking festivals and dedicated days off.
While the dreary city of Grembul seems miserable on the surface, there are many things that the residents do to keep their spirits high. Aside from the aforementioned drinking festivals, Colosseus litter the city. This makes for great entertainment, and draws travelers from across Elose to witness epic battles.
An effect of the city being full of industry, the city tends to be lawless at times. Seeing as there has historically been a lack of guard and justice, many criminals call Grembul home. For those that don't they are typically apart of the ever growing slave trade problem the city has had for ages.
