Long ago when the seas dried up and the Algurian Badlands were born in it's place, there was a period of time where the water somehow produced life. These trees were different from ones found elsewhere, as they thrived off of the salt water of the sea. However, when the waters dried up, so did the forests. The Shrubwood got it's name when civilization found it. A forest of lifeless trees, lacking leaves and abandoned by nature.
