Fort Cragclimber is the home of the line of dwarves that have the same name. The Cragclimber clan are mountaineers, and as such make excellent explorers and cartographers. Most maps and written directions are crafted from the likes of a member of clan Cragclimber.
Fort Cragclimber was founded not long after the arrival of the Auroreans. Rumors say that an artifact lay ontop of the highest bluff in the Chestan Highlands, guarded by a winged creature. Many failed to get this artifact. Most could not make the climb, but some made the trek, but could not defeat the wyrm. The bluff would have been left unmolested if it were not for Genji, son of Gembri. This brave dwarf scaled the Chestan Highlands and managed to defeat the wyrm that withheld the artifact. As the legend goes, all of Elose heard of his accomplishment, so he used his moment of fame and money to begin his own group of dwarves that would settle in place of where the wyrm once resided.
And so, the Cragclimbers are said to be descended by Genji himself, and all dwarves who hail from the Chestan Highlands are said to contain the blood of the Cragclimbers.
