There are three types of gods. The first are True Gods, such as Serenae, Eir, Korrodin, and Vannara. True gods are overwhelmingly powerful. They provide an essentially infinite source of energy and lack tangible forms and thus cannot die. All true gods exist in pairs. The Moon God Eir is the Divine pair of the Sun God Serenae, and the God of Nature Vannara is the divine pair of the God of Mankind Korrodin. There are other divine pairs too. True gods require sacrifice for their advanced rites, and therefore the worship of all true gods requires blood. This is true for even good gods, it can not be avoided. Excessive worship of true gods twists the physical form into a vessel of that god, this too is true even for good gods, and this too is unavoidable. Because of this, the worship of true gods is dangerous both to the individual worshipping and to others.
