Dunavar Lexhand was a human member of the town of Reedenford, and a known local drunk. He often frequented Serpent's End, but after being banned for his behavior, he flitted around the various inns and taverns of the town before being found poisoned in the Reedpicker Inn.
History
In his youth, Dunavar was supposedly a good friend of the young Tunban Fetterly. The two grew distant when Tunban left to study in Bucktuck City, with Dunavar remaining behind in Reedenford to discover his love of drink.
Dunavar survived by doing various odd jobs around town, spending his meager earnings on drink to drown his worries out. He was known to ask others for free drinks, but always managed to produce coin when necessary. Dunavar was especially fond of Serpent's End, but was banned from the establishment for "acting out".
Dunavar was unknowingly poisoned in the Reedpicker Inn by Nuniel Masselby, who apparently believed she was playing a prank on him as she slipped a strange purple powder into his drink. This powder was supplied by Wellen Ordeck, who was hired by someone at Serpent's End.
Tunban hired a group of Initiates to investigate the circumstances of Dunavar's death, believing that his murder was linked to a plot to destabilize his position as mayor by attacking those he cared about. Tunban seemed to care little about Dunavar's life and was more so concerned about his reputation.
