Eldag Hollow is a large forest basin located in in the central Scratchwood. The trees in the hollow are old and tall, growing up into a wide canopy that blocks out the sunlight. The basin is centered around the Eldag Dungeon, an ancient subterranean crypt that is ordinarily waterlogged due to the shape of the basin, which appears to drain into the dungeon itself.
Eldag Hollow is known to have a significant goblin population that will venture out of the forest to raid small communities. The goblins are led by a warlord, a position decided by combat.
History
In Iron 989, a group of mercenaries known as the Lonely Fingers traveled to Eldag Hollow and entered the dungeon with the help of a mage to clear out the water. They managed to exhume a powerful artifact from the dungeon, and made camp in the hollow, waiting for their contact to show and take the relic of their hands. During that time, however, the group was stalked by the Claw of Arali member Ayla Raddock, who brought word of the group back to her base of Cloverhall, bringing the Cursebusters back to Eldag Hollow to take the artifact themselves.
