Patras Gritham is a human commander of the Grey Wings that leads a force of men around the province of Atherdale. He is a stalwart, earnest member of the guard, and likes to lead crusades around the province to clear out threats to commoners. He is fond of battle.

Appearance
Patras is a slightly shorter than average human man with dark skin and lighter brown hair, cut shortly and generally messed up by the large steel helmet he wears. He has light blue eyes and a bright face, with his mouth always turned up into a smile. He wears a large set of steel full plate armor, emblazoned with the symbols of the Grey Wings
Personality
Patras is an extremely earnest and righteous man, but not to the point of naivety. He always tries to assume the best of others, but is a rather shrewd judge of character, and can usually sniff out deception. He has a jovial disposition and attempts to make himself useful to others. Patras loves to speak and learn about others, and sometimes doesn't know when to remain quiet.

Patras is an inspiring commander to his men, leading them by example and taking up the vanguard of their conquests. He is an experienced swordsman.
History
Patras Gritham was born in 961 IaC in Bucktuck City. He joined the Grey Wings in 979, and eventually worked his way up to the rank of commander.
In 989, Patras met with the Cursebusters, waylaying the illegal ship they had chartered to Bucktuck City in order to thank them for taking care of a raiding army of gnolls. He then roused the party's help in finding the home base of the gnolls, wiping them out and reclaiming the treasures they stole. Patras escorted the group back to the city and set them up to have an audience with the Homdal Ighbridge. Due to reclaiming the stolen goods, Patras was given a raise by the Grey Wings, and he shared his bonus with the group, later giving them advice on places to go in the city.
