Lodgren Teravash

This character is dead.
The Beater

Lodgren Teravash was a dwarf that originally hailed from a small mountain community in Fusalis His family once had minor affluence among the dwarven kingdoms, but an attack on his home when he was a child left him without a name. While traveling the world, he was killed in an attack by the Rain Knight that left him and the ship he was on as ghostly apparitions, and ever since he has sailed the seas around Gessaria fighting back the creatures of Jylurm.

Description

Lodgren was short and stout, but he couldn't be called plump. One might even called him handsome if his nose weren't pressed flat across his entire face. In typical dwarven fashion, he wore his hair and beard in braids that extended down below his chest, interlaced with all manner of threads and golden accessories. He wore intricate plate armor featuring an ornate depiction of the sigil of his house: a bear with the head of a fish, of which Lodgren was fiercely proud.

History

Lodgren was born in his ancestral home in Fusalis but was displaced as a child after a rival clan of necromantic dwarves laid siege to his mountain, killing his family. Lodgren would later return to his home in Iron 933, clearing it out of still lingering skeletons; however, the once great hall had become a tomb, infested by the still lingering necromantic magic. Chased out of his home by the corpses of his family, he decided to cut ties with his past and venture the world in search of new belonging.

In Iron 951, the adventuring party the Peas met Lodgren on the deck of the Dirty Whale. During the ensuing attacks, he attempted to protect Kradva Ospen, ultimately sacrificing himself to hold off the legion of Storm Knights. Lodgren stayed behind as the ship was blown to bits by a special form of wet gunpowder. Instead of passing, Lodgren's spirit endured as he clutched to life, along with the rest of the ship and its crew. Chained to the ghastly ship, Lodgren began to sail the seas to meet the forces of Jylurm in combat.

Lodgren later reunited briefly with the Peas just before the Battle for the Sun, helping to save Leadbelly Fargus before he succumbed to the influence of the sea god. During the battle the ghost ship could often be seen on the horizon, waging its own corner of the fight.

Lodgren, along with the rest of the Dirty Whale, eventually became legends around the coastal communities of Gessaria as protectors. The ship can be most commonly seen around the Deadmarch.
