A Disaster of Cartographic Proportions

This quest is completed.

The mapmaker William young apprentice has (apparently) been kidnapped by bandits! He has asked you, in so many words, to rescue her.

Kradva Ospen has implored you to complete this quest as part of your service to him. He has also tasked you with keeping him away from any fighting.

No rewards have been offered to you for this quest.

Quest Progress

  • You investigated William's house and found signs of a break-in.
  • You found Merin Lavelle room, as well as her collection of bows and arrows. It appears as if she is quite the ranging enthusiast.
  • You found that William is suffering under the effects of an enchantment spell.
  • You followed tracks to a small forest at obscured a sea cove. There were 3 bandits standing around a pole at the shore.
  • Wander tricked the bandits into thinking he was a new recruit. You found that they do indeed have Merin hostage, and that they are working with goblins.
  • You took out three of the four bandits after a ship arrived at night. You tied up the fourth bandit, Jorden.
  • After interrogating Jorden, you learned that the bandits are kidnapping people and transporting them on a ship to their hideout.
  • You killed Jorden the bandit.
  • You boarded the bandit ship, and took care of those aboard, including destroying a strange totem of wild magic.
  • You "rescued" Seamus McHammerface from the brig of the ship.
  • You were put to sleep mysteriously.
  • To managed to reach the shore, but your ship sank in the process.
  • You followed some bandits to a clearing containing a tunnel leading underground.
  • You entered a cavern, dispatching some bandits you found there.
  • You encountered Kreegal, a goblin wizard.
  • You began to fight Kreegal, as William ran out from the back.
  • You dispatched of Kreegal.
  • You discovered Merin, but William had passed out.
  • You looted part of the hideout.
  • You found Merin's bow, and escaped from the hideout.
  • You hid in a cave for a while, and made your way back to Tevari Port Town
  • You made it back to William's house, where he finally awoke and gave you a small prize, alongside identifying your magic items.
