Gnomes are short, long-lived humanoids that ordinarily have pointed ears. They are known for their ability to live in almost any environment, finding ways to adapt to both harsh climates and harsh peoples. Gnomes are often stereotyped as tinkerers and inventors, but can occupy any number of roles in a society. Generally, they are a good natured a helpful folk.
Purely gnomish communities do exist, but most work closely with other non-gnomish cities and kingdoms. Some more traditional gnomish settlements choose to hide away from the world, living underground or in thick forests in order to keep their presence a secret.
