Hjesta was a sinewy and ragged rakshasa with dark, matted fur. He was cowardly, but was also quite a violent and vindictive individual.
History
Hjesta first encountered the party in Rest Assured, where he attacked the party. He was badly beaten down, however, and escaped into a portal. He left behind a note indicating he was hired by Mardyth.
The party saw Hjesta again in the sewers under the Curtain in Madrioc, where he was tearing apart a pile of rats, after seemingly killing Todalis Sindria. The party saw him with his brother, who seemed more put together and well groomed.
While never specifically confirmed, it was heavily implied that Hjesta was actually Razodon Goswin's younger brother, Gestro Goswin. Gestro was killed when Mardyth escaped from the Peas through the door in the Roomy Chest and the rogue encountered him in Razodon's manor. Razodon was enraged by the death of his brother and sought revenge against Mardyth, eventually tearing him to shreds once his immortality was taken from him.
