Delea Thornwool

The Crowspeaker

Delea Thornwool is a human wizard and a member of the adventuring group the Lucent Hand. She is quiet and secretive, but a very capable wizard.

Description

Delea ordinarily wears a dark grey cloak lined with black feathers around the shoulders, with a hood pull over her head. She wears a large protruding mask that resembles that of a crow's beak, and generally walks with a hunch using her tall, gnarled staff as a support. She carries a large, old spellbook attached to a clasp on her belt. Also attached to her belt is a set of daggers, and a series of phials, bottles, and bags with various components within them.

Without her mask, Delea has a large scar that runs down the left side of her face, over her left eye and down past her cheek. Her left eye is grey and apparently blind, while her right is a dark green. Her older face often wears a kind but tired expression. While her mask is removed, she stands up straight at around average height.

Delea is soft-spoken and secretive, often only speaking after deep thought and contemplation.

Skills and Abilities

Delea is a very capable wizard and carries a sizable spellbook, hinting at the extent of her studies.

Crow Magic

Delea is apparently capable of a specialized magic that uses crows to obscure her form and move her from place to place.

History

At some point, Delea joined up with the Lucent Hand. She appears to have an amiable relationship with the group.

The Peas met Delea at the Mad King's Festival, where she was competing in the tournament with the rest of her group. In the casting competition, Delea solved the puzzles handily and took first place. In the combat rounds, Delea often took the high ground, supporting her party with powerful spells from a distance. In the fourth round she was caught off guard by a shadow beast, and knocked out.

She briefly congratulated the Peas with the rest of her party when they emerged victorious from the fourth round.
