A magic weapon.
An intimidating scimitar adorned with various ornamental engravings and jewels. In its inert state the blade appears to be made of a polished steel. There is a large, symmetrically cut red gem in the pommel of the sword.
Effects
The powerful-looking sword grants a +1 modifier to all intimidation rolls when in hand.
If the sword is swung with a significant amount of force and hits a solid object, the blade will collapse into sand of a similar volume. If this is done in an attack against the creature that relies on eyesight, the target creature must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or become blinded for 1 minute, or until they take an action to clear their eyes. After the sword is scattered into sand, it must grow its blade back to be used again. This process takes roughly a day.
An aspect of this item is hidden away behind a powerful incantation, protected from identification.
History
The Peas discovered the sword hanging on the wall of the bandit hideout in Sordin Isle. They decided to take the item, and for a time, Journey held onto the sword. She attempted to intimidate an individual while holding it once, but failed. Journey later sold the sword to Avelos the Learned for a fair price. Avelos was eager to uncover the enchantments that magic had somehow hidden away.
