Ruyebef, also known as the Resting One, is a lesser deity of of undeath, unlife, and ash. His symbol is commonly depicted as a severed human arm in a pile of ash. He has a moderate following that is generally decentralized, but worshipers can be found across all of Hazeron. Worship of the god is often seen as taboo, so establishments and shrines to Ruyebef are very rare.
Legends
Many know Ruyebef as a kind of bogeyman in children's stories, where he exists as an un-killable, unrelenting monster, deformed and beastly. Other legends depict him as a simple man who gained immortality through means outside of his control, forcing him to live forever against his will in eternal penance. A common thread through all these stories is that at one point, Ruyebef was decidedly mortal.
