The Velvet Hat is a tavern of high quality in the city of Vardev. The interior of the tavern is tastefully adorned in red velvet against dark wood, and the environment is quiet and cozy. It is run by Keah, an accomodating female halfling. She is a very good cook.
Most of the Peas spent their nights in Vardev at the Velvet Hat, with Wander and Seamus choosing to sleep on the streets instead. Phaelnah first encountered the Nightseeker in this tavern, where the latter trapped her in a shadowy sphere and inflicted her with a strange corruption.
