A weapon and wondrous item.

Description

A glimmering dagger that curves slightly up to its end. The gleaming steel of the blade is covered in subtle and intricate carvings depicting a battle between dragons. The handle of the dagger is embossed in gold, and holds a flawless red gem at the end, as if grasped in the claw of a dragon.

Effects

When you successfully attack a creature with this dagger, the being that is bound to the dagger will stop at nothing to strike the creature you attacked.

The bound creature appears to be related to the gem in the handle. It might be possible to change this.

Weapon Statistics

Dagger. Finesse Weapon. On hit: 1d4 slashing damage.

History

Wander retrieved the Kingleader Dagger from a chest in the back of a bandit ship off of the Tevari Isles. He identified its origins as dragonborn in design and make, but was only later able to divine its true nature once he became able to identify magic items.

Since learning of the nature of the dagger, Wander has used the dagger in a number of specific moments, such as against Yyk Sen outside of Hazerhorn and on Tarisi during her sealing ritual. So far, the creature bound to this dagger has not been seen.

“I know what it’s supposed to do, but I don’t know what’s bound to it…so I’ll just wear it ‘cause it looks cool.”
