At the cost of one Dark Idea, dark motes of virulent energy blast forth from your hand, forming wicked spears that fly through the air. Make a ranged spell attack against the target, with an added +2 modifier to your attack roll alongside your normal modifiers. On a hit, the target takes (Current Level+1)d12 + your spell modifier of necrotic damage, and must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target creature is paralyzed until the start of your next turn.
You can only cast this spell once per long rest.

Phaelnah Ellarian first understood how to cast this spell soon after she was first corrupted by the Nightblight through the Nightseeker's influence. She cast it only once, triggering further growth of the Nightblight. Despite the spell's power, she has not cast it since.
