Spell Description

Shape Ice

Transmutation Cantrip

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 20 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 3 hours

You collect and freeze the water in the air to create ice in any form you desire. This shape can be up to 1 foot on its longest side, and takes around 6 seconds to fully form a max size shape. You may also shape any nearby water into ice, as well as melt ice into water. When using water to make ice, the water freezes more quickly. The ice will keep its form until your concentration ends, after which it becomes normal ice. This spell is often used as a practice spell by blossoming sorcerers in Shiesia.

At 5th level, you may use your action to animate the ice. You can manipulate the shape and movement of the ice within the range of the spell. The ice moves slowly, at up to 5 feet per cast.

At 8th level, you may smoothly animate any ice you can fit in your palm, almost as if it were alive.

At 11th level, you may shape the ice up to 2 feet on the longest side, and the range for the spell increases to 40 feet. The ice forms at 6 seconds for 2 feet.

At 14th level, you may smoothly animate any ice up to 1 foot on the longest side, as if it were alive.

At 17th level, the ice you shape from air takes form immediately, and you can shape ice up to 4 feet on the longest side, within an increased range of 60 feet. The ice forms at 6 seconds for 4 feet. You may smoothly animate any ice up to 2 feet on the longest side, as if it were alive.
