Focusing the power of the crystal dragon Malae, you roar out a shattering scream that crystalizes the air, resembling jewel-like fire. Each creature you choose within 30 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw or take 4d8 thunder damage as well as 4d8 damage of a type that is contained within your crystal, and gains the condition Crystal Branded. A creature that succeeds on its saving throw takes half as much damage and doesn’t take on the condition.
Crystal Branded. Due to residual magic searing a crystalized burn onto the target, they react poorly to the channeling of crystal magic. Any creature with the Crystal Branded condition will take an additional 5 psychic damage every time a Dragon Crystal Magic spell is cast within 60 feet of them. The condition requires the use of a spell such as Lesser Restoration or greater to remove. It can also be addressed with a series of Medicine checks over a variable number of long rests.
